The European Cultural Forum, established by the European Commission, is summoned every two years and is considered to be a very important international event dedicated to pressing issues in the field of art. This year the program of the Forum included three plenary sessions and several discussion platforms hosting guests and speakers of high rank.

Adoption of European experience in terms of culture is highly important for Ukraine.

The Forum was focused on three main topics: - Social dimension – “Talent and creative work for mutual help in the world” - Creative work and innovations – “Talent and creative work for the economy: a new momentum for innovations, growth and vacancies” - Culture as an important element of international relations – “Talent and creative work of diplomacy: Europe as a powerful actor of the global market”.

The main welcome speech was delivered by the Slovenian writer Boris Pahor, who is to celebrate his 103rd birthday this year. His works based on autobiographic inspiration are viewed as a genuine chronicle of the XX century in Europe.
