At the opening of the project were presented portraits by famous Ukrainian artists such as Oleg Radvan, Igor Gubsky, Alexei Kulakov, Yuriy Shapoval, Tatyana Shimko, Sergey Piskunov and other authors. The project is dedicated to portrait painting in its contemporary dimension. The portrait is not only a reflection of the person's external features; it is an artistic interpretation of his emotions and the inner world. It was this idea that became the main concept of the exhibition: to teach the viewer not to look at the depicted image, but through it. To see not appearance but feelings. After all, the artist draws the history of the person, revealing her psychological peculiarities and the most intimate corners of his subconscious.

Famous Ukrainian TV hosts, journalists, artists, collectors and connoisseurs of contemporary art came to the opening of the project. During the evening, visitors had the opportunity to communicate with tcurators and share their impressions, thoughts and ideas with the artists.

Leonora Yanko, curator of the project, art critic, art manager and director of Lera Litvinova Gallery notes: "Portrait is not just a photographic image of a person; it's a psychological scanning of his soul. This genre is quite complicated both in the technical and the semantic plan. Portrait is always a challenge for the artist, because it is important to portray not only the appearance, but create a psychological portrait of the person. Depict his character, temperament, mood or a certain emotional state. "

Anna Bondar, Director of the Jewish Community Center "Halom", also shared her impressions about the project: "This exhibition was created with an aim to tell viewers the history of different people with the help of paints and craftsmanship of the creator. I'm surprised how the artist manages to convey such a complex range of human emotions on the canvas. You look at the portrait, and you see the

soul of a person, you know his story, his intimate fears and the most wonderful memories"
