Leonora Yanko and Lera Litvinova present personal exhibition of Alla Volobyeva “Love in the Sunshine
Opening of a personal exhibition of Alla Volobyeva “Love in the Sunshine” will be held at Lera Litvinova Gallery on April 6, 2019 at 4 p.m. Lera Litvinova Gallery presents art projects at museums and other locations both in Ukraine and abroad, striving to spread the creativity of Ukrainian artists on the local and world art arenas.
Alla Volobyeva is an artist with romantic and yet profound philosophical views. Delicately sensing the world, people and nature, she skillfully carries her colorful impressions on the canvas. The author works in a rather unusual technique - skillfully owning a color, she uses it for energy filling of paintings, reflection of depth and calmness. The artist has had numerous personal and group exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad.
In works that are included to the exposition the author reveals simple and wonderful truths that a person does not notice in pursuit of something inaccessible. In the world of technology, people have become like machines that live in a huge computer simulation, only satisfying the needs of their bodies. The modern lifestyle practically doesn’t leave the opportunity to stop and look at the beauty that surrounds us. Therefore, the artist wants to distract viewers from phone calls and emails and to motivate them to look around. Do you remember the smell of the forest at noon? Have you ever wondered how the wind in the grass fades, how the trees begin to blossom, how the rain brings the spring smell, how quickly clouds pass through the sky? In her works the artist induces awareness and slowing down, motivates to feel every second of life and to love life.
Alla Volobyeva, the artist and the author of the exhibition, notes: "With this exhibition, I wanted to show how huge the universe is. It is impossible to comprehend it, and our life is just a small walk, filled with events, beautiful details of nature and art, it’s not just supermarkets and TV."
The painting "Love in the Sun" is one of the central works of the exposition. The artist is inspired by the ancient Greek mythological story of Clytie, the nymph who fell in love with the god Apollo. She turned into a sunflower from the anguish for the beloved and associating him with the sun. The artist generalizes the influence and significance of love, reflects on the importance of beautiful feelings even in dramatic stories, as love is one of the factors of the rebirth and development of the soul.
The curator of the project is Leonora Yanko, art critic, art manager and director of Lera Litvinova Gallery: "Alla Volobyeva's works are impressive with their depth and energy content. The non-standard technique and interesting use of color makes us observe a qualitatively new space of images. The combinations of dark shades and bright flashes, colorful and authentic motifs, the game of contrasts successfully underline the concept of the works."
The exhibition is open until April 20, 2019.
