Lera Litvinova Gallery opens new art location at RYBALSKY
Lera Litvinova Gallery presents a large-scale opening of the new art location in a residential neighbourhood RYBALSKY in partnership with SAGA Development on December 14 at 7 p.m. Lera Litvinova Gallery is a modern art space known for its significant projects in Ukraine and other countries. This time it will meet guests at the new address to present a contemporary art exhibition. The new location of the gallery was not chosen by chance, because the concept of RYBALSKY complex is to create a fundamentally new level of comfort, exemplified by European cities, where modern people can find real comfort in the midst of a busy city, inspired by views and creative solutions.
«The mission of SAGA Development is to create a stylish and comfortable living space. We realize our mission through non-standard architecture, convenient public spaces and modern art objects. We are sure that future residents of the RYBALSKY will be interested in modern art and the art space Lera Litvinova Gallery will become one of their favourite places to spend leisure time», - says SAGA Development CEO Andriy Vavrysh.
The gallery will present a philosophical project «Response Zone» dedicated to the artistic study of the structure of human spirituality. The exhibition includes works by artists, who are arguing on the themes of social consciousness, individuality, division of personal qualities into positive and negative, and adaptations to a changing society. Works are selected on the principle of conditional static. They are transmitting a state of peace, a process of searching for and finding a fulcrum, which sometimes can be achieved due to catharsis. The project analyses social changes and current period of our society.
The curator of the project is Leonora Yanko, art critic, art manager, and director of Lera Litvinova Gallery. She notes: «A new project is a combination of theoretical and artistic meanings in a philosophical sense. Since childhood we used to divide things into black and white, good and bad, right and wrong. This division is based on various factors that affect us throughout our lives: experience, social institutions, political events, religious background. At the end of the year, the project «ResponseZone» becomes a kind of research on relationships between people, their reaction to positive communication, and the ability of individuals to be open in society».
Artists explore the sources of influence on our consciousness, factors of perception of certain situations, the way we are open toward to others, and our ability to communicate. Can we honestly talk about what we really feel? Can we share emotions and honestly talk about our pain or joy?
Modern Ukrainian artists respond to socially significant issues of creativity, turning scientific and philosophical truth into metaphors. They want the viewer to see himself in a particular image, to realize his influence on society, to understand his nature. These are the original discoveries of small facts that are somehow the key to understanding life.
The exhibition will present works of modern Ukrainian artists, such as Anna Voloshko, Daria Ivashchenko, Alla Volobuyeva, Yuriy Shapoval, Alina Gayeva, Lera Litvinova, Astian Rey, Yevhen Shapovalov, Yulia Polyakova, Danylo Kozeletsky, Artem Andreychuk (Kaffelman), Denis Gorodnichiy.
